KETCHUM, Idaho – Ketchum Senior Planner Morgan Landers, AICP, has been hired as Director of Planning and Building for the city of Ketchum.

For the last year and a half, Landers has served as senior planner, developing an understanding of the hot button issues in the community and how the department can meet the community’s needs.

Landers is a certified planning professional with over 17 years of experience in long-range planning, real estate development, and community development in the public, private and non-profit sectors.

“I have been on all sides of the table,” said Senior Planner Morgan Landers. “My various roles in development, municipal planning and advocating for communities has provided me with a three-sided perspective leading to collaborative partnerships and understanding, even in times of adversity.”

Landers has supported communities across the country in her roles as senior land planner for a national brownfield redevelopment firm, director of development for a national non-profit, community development director for the town of Eagle, CO, planning manager for Eagle County, CO, and board member for national and state professional organizations including NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association and the American Planning Association.

“We are very pleased with Morgan’s decision to accept this position,” said Mayor Neil Bradshaw. “She has a proven record of cultivating and motivating high-performing teams around focused missions in leadership, economic and community development. I am confident in her ability to bring the public and private sectors together to meet the needs of this community.”

Landers will assume the position on Dec. 19, when the current director, Suzanne Frick, shifts her focus solely to the Ketchum Urban Renewal Agency as its executive director.
