Speed Limit Changes on Warm Springs Road Effective June 30

A speed limit update on Warm Springs Road will take effect on June 30, following a unanimous decision by the Ketchum Traffic Authority (KTA) at its April 16 meeting. Approximately 800 feet of Warm Springs Road will be standardized to a 20 miles per hour (mph) speed limit in both directions, aligning previously split directional speed zones into a consistent posted limit.

The change is intended to: 

  • Align speed limits in both directions of travel  
  • Improve consistency and driver understanding along the corridor  
  • Support roadway safety based on observed conditions and resident feedback  

The item was originally brought forward to the KTA by a resident on January 21, reflecting a community-driven safety concern.

Current speed limits vary by direction: 

  • Toward Greyhawk: 20 mph  
  • Toward town (to Warm Springs bridge): 30 mph 

Speed limits will be aligned to 20 mph in both directions to create consistent travel speeds.
