Ketchum To Conduct Public Training on The New Consolidated Land Development Code

Comprehensive Plan Code Update

KETCHUM TO CONDUCT PUBLIC TRAINING ON THE NEW CONSOLIDATED LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE

The training will help those interested to better understand how to use the new consolidated code and the key changes that are involved.

Ketchum, Idaho — The City of Ketchum adopted its newly consolidated Land Development Code at the City Council meeting on Monday, November 17. This comprehensive update brings together key components of the former Titles 16 (Subdivision Regulations) and 17 (Zoning Regulations), along with sections of Title 12 (Streets, Sidewalks, Public Utility Easements, and Public Places), into a single, streamlined code that is easier to understand and use. This streamlined, consolidated code will provide a more usable foundation for upcoming changes in city code to the land use regulations, which will be directed by the newly adopted comprehensive plan. This process is expected to take place over the next few years.

To support the community’s transition to the new code, the City will host an in-person training session at Ketchum City Hall in the Community Meeting Room on Thursday, December 18, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Online attendance is also available from the event page, available on the city website at ketchumidaho.org. This training is open to anyone interested in understanding the key changes to the consolidated code and how it can be used. Food and refreshments will be provided.
