The City of Ketchum will host pop-up education events focused on the Original Local Option Tax (LOT) to provide an overview of how this local funding tool works, discuss its current and future role in supporting City services, and gather input from residents and stakeholders.
WHEN
June 8-10, 2026
WHERE
Monday, June 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ketchum Town Square
Tuesday, June 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ketchum Post Office

WHY IT MATTERS
The Original LOT is an important local revenue mechanism that helps fund essential City services, infrastructure, and community priorities without relying solely on property taxes or other funding sources. These pop-up educational events provide a transparent forum for discussion and public engagement before any updates or policy decisions are considered on this November’s ballot.
Topics include:
- Overview of the Original LOT and how it is structured
- Current revenue use and how funds support City operations and services
- Potential adjustments or renewal considerations for future years
- Impact on residents, local businesses, and visitors
- Opportunities for public input and questions
These events give residents and stakeholders the opportunity to share feedback, ask questions, and help shape how this funding tool is used going forward.
