City Announces Temporary Road Closures for Tour de Force Event
WHAT:
The City of Ketchum reminds residents of temporary road closures on Friday, July 24, to accommodate the Sun Valley Tour de Force (SVTdF) car show event in downtown Ketchum. All SVTdF events support local nonprofits and charitable organizations serving residents throughout the Wood River Valley. The street closures related to the car show received approval by the City Council during their regular meeting on February 25, 2026.
As part of the event, vehicles will be displayed along East Avenue and Sun Valley Road adjacent to Ketchum Town Square and the Visitor Center.
WHEN:
Friday, July 24, 2026
2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
WHERE:
East Ave., between 4th St. and 2nd St., and Sun Valley Rd. between Leadville Ave. and the alleyway between Walnut Ave. and East Ave.
The intersections of 4th St. and 2nd St. on East Ave. will remain open. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Sun Valley Rd. should detour to 5th St. or 2nd St. during the event.
WHY:
Sun Valley Tour de Force is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting charitable initiatives and improving quality of life throughout the Wood River Valley. Their annual events have generated significant contributions for local organizations while bringing visitors and economic activity to the community. The SVTdF car show is a permitted event, which was approved by the City of Ketchum upon meeting all safety and city code requirements, including the street closure, which required City Council approval.
