Bike and E-bike Safety Campaign Begins
Over the last several years, trails, paths, and roads in the Wood River Valley have experienced a significant increase in bicycle, e-bike, and other motorized and non-motorized micromobility device use. While great options for commuting, getting around, and recreating, their rise in popularity has resulted in conflicts with motor vehicles and pedestrians. Ketchum adopted new bike and e-bike rules to its city code this year to help reduce these conflicts. Along with it are increased police patrols and a new education campaign, focused on reducing reckless behavior by ensuring everyone knows the rules and understands how their actions affect others. After all, we’re all in this together!
Below you’ll find a link to view the latest quick guide to bike and e-bike safety in Ketchum. And stay tuned for more materials, including signs and digital media campaigns. Ketchum is collaborating with municipalities and organizations valley-wide to refine and grow the campaign!
