COVID-19 || Small Town - Giant Steps

Giant steps are what you take - to stem the COVID tide. We have asked you to do a lot already – now we are asking you all to take another giant step to stem the COVID tide. It will not be easy, but it will make a difference and it will not be for long.
 
These are the measures we will adopt (you can also read the full joint press release here):

• Construction of housing and commercial projects must cease operations.  
• Plumbers, electricians and other trades can only perform work that is immediate and essential.
• Landscaping and other residential service providers must cease operations.  
• Hotels and short-term rentals may not offer lodging to non-residents of Blaine County, except lodging may be provided to health care workers or those performing essential government functions.
• Blaine County residents returning home from out of state travel must self isolate at home for 14 days upon their return. Visitors from out of state coming to Blaine County must also self-isolate for 14 days. 
• Travel outside of Blaine County to obtain items otherwise available in the County is prohibited.
• Gatherings of non-related individuals inside homes are prohibited.

Two weeks of construction hiatus – March 30 to April 12
Construction activities must stop as of Monday March 30, so you will have time to batten down the hatches and make jobsites safe. At this point, we anticipate resuming construction activities on Monday, April 13.
 
Every breath you take … must be a safe distance from others. Limiting the spread requires increasing the physical distance. You must keep a minimum of 6 feet away – but more is better. Wash your hands and wash them again – wipe down surfaces. Every breath you take and every move you make … will make a difference.

We applaud the creativity of Ketchum resident, Nick Harmon, who rewrote the lyrics to reflect living in self-isolation during COVID-19.  Please make the time to sing and laugh while we forge through this crisis together.
