Overview

The Ketchum Fire Department was established in 1883. Our fire department is a combination career and paid on call department providing fire protection, technical rescue and emergency medical services throughout northern Blaine County. The department has 34 volunteers and 13 career personnel. Station 1 is located at Ketchum City Hall, 480 East Avenue North. Consolidation of the Ketchum Rural Fire District and the City of Ketchum Fire Department was implemented many years ago through a cooperative agreement. There are two rural fire stations. Greenhorn Gulch Station 2 is located five miles south of Ketchum and Griffin Butte Station 3 is located 2.5 miles north of Ketchum.

Be sure to look at Sparky's News too! Another great fire safety site, particularly for adults wanting to protect their homes from wildfires, is Firewise.org.

Stop by Ketchum Fire Station 1 anytime to visit with our firefighters, have your blood pressure taken or just to look at our fire engines and equipment! Kids are always welcome to sit in the fire engines with our firefighters.
