Councilor Amanda Breen
Breen - cropped web2.jpgAmanda Breen is an attorney in Ketchum, Idaho. Raised in Tacoma, Washington, Amanda spent many ski vacations in Sun Valley, and eventually called Ketchum home.

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. After several years working in the tech world, Amanda earned her law degree from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. Amanda then opened her own law firm in Ketchum, assisting clients with immigration law, family law, employment and general litigation. In 2009, Amanda moved to London and earned a Master of Law degree in Public International Law at University College London. Amanda also worked for ShareAction, a prominent London NGO, researching and advocating for responsible investment and employee rights with top 100 CEOs and Members of Parliament.

In 2011, Amanda returned to Ketchum to re-open her law practice. Ever since, she has assisted local, national and international clients from her law firm’s Ketchum headquarters.

Amanda has served on the Ketchum Historic Preservation Commission and on the Band of Angels and Mentors for the Ketchum Innovation Center. Amanda is the President of the Board of Directors of The Advocates in Hailey; she is the Idaho Chapter Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association; and she serves on the Steering Committee of the Idaho State Bar’s Idaho Academy of Leadership for Lawyers. Amanda also provides legal services to indigent defendants as a Blaine County Public Defender.

Amanda lives in Ketchum with her husband, David, and their son, Camden. Amanda enjoys skiing, trail running, biking, cooking and traveling.
