Requesting Records & Information
Your rights to information: Every person has a right to examine and purchase a copy of any public record on file in the city clerk's office. These records are available Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

City of Ketchum Resolution #11-011 established a copying fee schedule for public records requests. Payment of the applicable charges shall be made prior to the commencement of research or copying based upon the city clerk’s estimated cost for meeting the public records request, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Ways to make a Public Records Request 
  • A request by fax may be made by faxing a request to 208.726.8234. 
  • A request by letter may be made by sending a letter of request to:

  • A request in person may be made by stopping by city hall and filling out a public records request. Our address is: 480 East Avenue N., Ketchum ID 83340.
  • The City of Ketchum asks citizens to fill out a Public Records Request form when requesting a public record. This request is routed through the city clerk's office and the city attorney's office. 

Pursuant to the Idaho Public Records Act (Idaho Code §9-337 to §9-348), the City of Ketchum has three working days to fill this request. However, if more than three working days are needed to process this request, the requestor shall be notified, with the documents or response following within ten  days. The Office of the City Clerk does not keep records on marriages licenses, divorces, births, deaths, land titles or deeds, or court cases. These records are kept with either the Blaine County Recorder’s office at 208.788.5505 or the State Bureau of Vital Statistics at 208.334.5988.
