The Christina Potters outdoor Ice Rink was first created in 1996 as a free outdoor recreation resource for the community. The human-made rink is thought to be the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest: a nearly 2-acre sheet of non-refrigerated ice entirely constructed and maintained by a staff of three at Ketchum Parks & Recreation. Volunteers often help with construction efforts.

The rink is named for past city councilor, Chris Potters, who was a staunch supporter of outdoor recreation in Ketchum.

The rink's operation and availability is entirely weather dependent. Rink updates may be found here.

The rink may be reserved for private events; however, the public may still use the rink while a reservation is occurring.
