Seeking Artists for Art in City Hall Exhibition

The city of Ketchum invites artists to submit up to five works of art for consideration for display in the Art in City Hall exhibition in Ketchum City Hall.

Mayor Nina Jonas initiated the Art in City Hall program to enliven the Council Chambers in 2014. The Ketchum Arts Commission subsequently juried exhibitions that have included photography and monoprints, fabric and encaustic art, and paintings representing Wagon Days.

This year, the commission has selected “Winter Inspiration” as its theme in celebration of Ketchum’s glorious winter season; its recreational pursuits, wildlife, and landscapes.

Artists may submit two-dimensional artwork in any media related to the idea of winter. Subject matter may include, but is not limited to, snow, winter landscapes, outdoor recreation, and/or wildlife in winter.

The deadline for submissions is Nov. 10. Each selected artist will receive a $350 stipend. Artwork will be on display for approximately 6 months.

Artists who have previously been selected for Art in City Hall exhibitions are welcome to apply with artwork that has not previously been exhibited at City Hall.
